When I was young I arrive to a local pet shop, and found that fish is a pet which was made for me. I bought some fishes, but almost inmediately I got in love with bettas. At that moment I decided to own some of these beautiful fish. Everything was fine until one day I saw a publicity from "WARDLEY FOOD", A beautifull EXTENDED RED Delta Betta. (well at that moment I did not knew that !) And in a minute, I understood that they are different quality of animals. Pet Shop Quality and Competition Quality. My goal changed from owning fish to owning and breeding quality fish. I visited a lot of Pet shops and breeders, trying to find some of this bettas, and around 1977 I found a Quality Betta Breeder in MEXICO (Veracruz)!. He was starting to breed them, so when I found him, he did not have any fry. only his just recently bought stock. He did not wanted to tell me where he bought them. I tried to buy him at least 1 fish, but he did not sale it to me, even that I offered a very hi amount of PESOS. So I decided to start my own hatchery with PET SHOP QUALITY bettas. With the time I found some others breeders and finally I could bought some good stock. Having a good stock is dificult in MEXICO, because we have a lot of Stupid LAWS which do not let you import animals to our country. Now I am one of the 400 HI quality Breeders around the world, and I am proud of that. Today I am a member of IBC (International Betta Congress). And I recommend it! I know a lot of people can have the same dream as me. And I know it is very dificult to get good quality stock ( stock price, importation laws, shipping), but believe me they worth it. Now I am really interested in your success, and I hope that you decide to own some of this quality stock. It doesn't matter if I sell them or not, the most important part of my life is devoted to the health of BETTA. This is the reason why I decided to invest in this WEB SITE. For me it is a very expensive HOBBY. But for you is like just finding the information in my WEB SITE or ask me via email. I always answer all your questions you make via email. When I started www.superbetta.com I decided to write it down in english. why ? Easy, it is the most spooken language around the world. Once I finished my first version, I found a lot of Mexicans who does not spoke English, and they were very interested in BETTAS and in my WEB SITE. So I decide to traslate it to Spanish. Now I have more work, mantaining an English version and a Spanish version. But for my personal delight, my Spanish web site is growing very fast I am having a lot of visitors. And I believe is one of the BEST web sites in SPANISH about bettas. What do you think? Why Superbetta? I decided to name my hatchery "SuperBetta", because is what I think of them, they are one of the prettiest fish I know. Even I have a lot of experience with other fishes, and also with hamsters, I prefer BETTAS. What I hope from Superbetta WEB SITE?
